Meet [JellyFrame](https://github.com/Cuteminded/jellyframe), my new app for watching your Jellyfin movies and shows in VR!

The idea is simple. Connect to your Jellyfin server, browse your library from inside your headset, and settle down with a movie or series on a virtual screen. Your own library, with a cinema-sized view.

## Watch your way

JellyFrame lets you choose the surroundings for your video. Watch in a virtual cinema, keep things simple with a dark background, or use passthrough to keep your real room visible.

With the adjustable screen in Void or Passthrough, you can change its size, position, and curvature to suit how you want to watch. You can search your library, resume a title, and let the next episode start automatically. Side-by-side 3D playback is supported too.

You'll need access to a Jellyfin server, which supplies the movies and shows.

## A new name and a new repository

This project started as JellyQuest, a Jellyfin VR app for the Quest 3. The old JellyQuest repository has been deleted.

I plan to switch to Steam Frame, so that's the main target for development. My goal for JellyFrame is to support as many different VR headsets as possible, both connected to a PC and running the app directly as standalone devices. Development of the Quest version continues under the JellyFrame name.

I don't have a Steam Frame yet, so installation and playback on that headset remain untested.

## Follow the project or try it out

JellyFrame is still in development. Audio-track and subtitle selection aren't available yet, and testing is ongoing across devices. The repository keeps track of the [current limitations](https://github.com/Cuteminded/jellyframe#current-limitations).

If you'd like to try it, the [installation guide](https://github.com/Cuteminded/jellyframe/blob/master/INSTALLATION.md) covers Quest 3, Windows, and Linux. Check the notes for your setup before choosing a build.

The source code, release links, and documentation are all in the new [JellyFrame repository on GitHub](https://github.com/Cuteminded/jellyframe). If you try a build, I'd love to hear how it works with your headset and Jellyfin library.
